Eddisbury way mark

The Eddisbury Way

The 16.5 mile (26.5km) walk from Higher Burwardsley to Frodsham is named after the area through which it passes.

Edisbury was an important centre in the Middle Ages and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book. A late Bronze Age double ditched hill fort stood on the central sandstone ridge of what is now Cheshire.

The route starts at the Walkers' Car Park by the Burwardsley Craft Centre and ends in Frodsham.
It starts with fabulous views as it takes you through Huxley, Duddon, Brine's Brow, Kelsall and Newton.

Refreshments are available at both the start and finish points and the occasional pub en-route.

Please note that the Craft Centre is road-signed as 'Cheshire Workshops'
